I'm a twenty-nine year old Army wife currently living near a large Army post. I have an unhealthy obsession with Dr. Pepper, the Internet, cloth diapers, and ridiculous TV shows. I'm a stay at home mom to two beautiful daughters, AJ and Amelia. We also have a 6 year old beagle named Abby who is as dumb as a box of rocks.

Friday Frenzy!

I've got some more random thoughts from this week. I feel like by the time Friday rolls around I can hardly form a coherent sentence, much less an entire blog post, so its easier for me to keep a running blog post throughout the week and just add little bits and pieces here and there.

1. We've been having panic-attack-inducing conversations lately about possibly receiving orders to PCS away from here. Hubby wants to talk about what the plan is for listing the house and what needs to be done before that can happen. I informed hubby the other night that I'm still pretending that we're definitely staying here (even though its about a 50/50 shot) so that I don't make myself sick by worrying about what we're going to do if we can sell our house and no one rents it. We simply do not have enough money in savings, nor do we make enough to cover rent somewhere else AND our mortgage here. Agh! I'm starting to freak just typing it out!

2. AJ has been telling me whenever she hears a noise! This includes the dog barking, a tv that was left on upstairs and trucks or planes outside. She will stop dead in her tracks and say, "Sound! I hear it!" Its so funny! I then ask her if its the dog, or something else and she says, "Yes." She is too funny!

3. I found adorable *free* printable cupcake toppers to use for AJ's birthday party. I was debating buying a template and then printing and assembling them on my own, but I'm glad I kept looking because I found ones that I like better and did I mention they were FREE?

4. I've been debating getting a hair cut. I really need one (my hair is so limp and raggedy all I do is put it up every single day) but I almost never go to the salon on a regular basis so I can't really get a real cut that needs up-keep and I just am so lazy that I keep thinking of a million reasons to not go.

5. I think I may make a trip to the HobLob sometime soon to check out what they have that would fit with AJ's party theme. I found some stuff online that I might order, but I got a gift card to HobLob for Christmas, so if I can use that to fray the costs associated with AJ's party a bit I think I'd like to do that (and I know Hubby would appreciate it)!

6. AbbyDog has been such a terrible, terrible dog lately. Its like all of a sudden she decided that she's going to act like a puppy again and start getting stuff out of the kitchen garbage can and tear it up. She also likes to chew the spouts on AJ's sippy cups so they're ruined. We basically should have bought stock in sippy cups because we're single-handedly keeping the industry alive! Oh, there was also the incident with the ham. Anyone want a naughty beagle?

7. AJ is loving her big girl bed. Every morning when I go into her room to get her up she runs to her bed and points at it and says, "big bed!" While she still isn't wild about the idea of taking naps or going to bed when I tell her to get in her big bed she climbs up on her own and lays down without fuss. I'm glad we switched her when we did. I feel like if we had waited too long she would have gotten too attached to her crib and it would have been way harder to make the transition. I think we've also got enough time before we start potty training for her to really be used to sleeping in the bed before we throw something else new at her!

8. I feel like no matter how much sleep I get in a night, it is never enough. A FB friend of mine whose son is about AJ's age posted this week that she feels more tired now than she did when her son was a newborn. I have to say that I agree. I knew I'd be exhausted when AJ was a teeny tiny baby, but no one prepares you for how tiring it is to have a toddler. Maybe its because lots of mamas are already pregnant with #2 (or have had their second) at this stage with the first so they attribute it to being pregnant or having a newborn. I'm here to tell you, its not the newborn that is making you tired, its the toddler! Haha!

9. Someone I know tinkled in her potty yesterday and I was so shocked! I was heading to the bathroom and went I went in she told me she wanted me to take her pj's off and then her diaper, so I did. She then sat down on her little potty chair and peed! Afterwards she walked into the kitchen and sat on a plastic lawn chair and peed on that, too! Ha! I guess we're going to have to explain the difference between a potty chair and a regular chair.

That's all for the randoms of the week! I hope you all survived the week and you have a fun Super Bowl weekend! We don't have any plans but I'm thinking about making game day appetizers for dinner on Sunday anyway! TGIF!

Friday Frenzy!

Random mish-mash of a post today. I have a lot of things going on & this is the best way to get them all out!

1. I planned AJ’s birthday party last night. I know I mentioned it before, but last night I sat down and found the decorations I’m going to order, made a list of the people we’re going to invite and wrote down the entire menu for the party. I ran it by husband and afterwards looked into his glazed-over eyes and asked if he thought that was good, to which he replied, “Sounds great, babe!” Check!

2. We’re heading to a brunch playgroup this morning so I decided to make donut muffins again. I made them a few weeks ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about them since then. The best part about them is that I typically have every. single. ingredient in my pantry already so I don’t have to go buy anything when I need want to make them last minute. I am posting the recipe on my food blog for you to enjoy!

3. I’m planning a bloggy BFF meet-up in a few weeks with my bloggy BFF, Moe, and I couldn’t be more excited! So far we have no actual plans other than we are going to meet up. We’re super on top of things! ;)

4. My neighbor across the street decided a few weeks ago that we (the wives and moms on our block) should have a Friday afternoon happy hour to celebrate surviving another week with our kids. Today is the first week its going to happen and I’m looking forward to that cocktail today.

5. I’m going to jump on the nerdy-tax-loving bandwagon and talk about how excited I am to file our taxes this year. We bought our house this year so our return should be beautiful. Now if only USAA would get on board and post our documents that I need to finish them, that would be great!

6. We have already started making lists of things we’re going to purchase with the tax return, once it comes. I’m not going to spoil the surprise now, so check back in a few weeks!

7. I briefly mentioned a few days ago that I am trying to cut back on caffeine a bit, so last week I bought Diet Caffeine-Free Dr. Pepper. Let me tell you, it tastes great, but I’m not fooling myself into thinking that its real Dr. Pepper. I can definitely notice the lack of energy I’m used to after downing a regular Dr. Pepper. I think I’d be faring better with the whole less-caffeine thing if AJ hadn’t decided to also use this week to change her wake-ups from 8:30 am to 5 am. Ugh.

8. Husband woke up with her at 5 am yesterday and got her back to sleep for another 2.5 hours. He’s my savior, by the way. I’m not sure if its me, or what, but he can get her to go back to sleep, but the second I walk into the room, its time to play, play, play and all hopes of sleeping go right out the window!

9. Is anyone else having issues uploading photos to Blogger in Firefox? For some reason they get all distorted and crazy looking, but if I use Safari it works perfectly. This is annoying and the reason for all the picture-less posts lately (I'm too lazy to go over to Safari just to upload pictures). I hate Safari. Sorry if you're a Safari-lover.

10. That’s all for today, folks. I’ve gotta get to mopping the kitchen floors now while I’ve still got time to read HP after I finish. I long for the days when AJ napped for 3+ hours. I got so much stuff done around the house!

TGIF!

I'd Blog, But All I Want To Do Is Whine and Complain

And no one wants to read that, right?

But seriously, I went to the grocery store this morning to get chicken breasts for dinner tonight and a few other things. I walked to the meat department and all I see are chicken thighs, drumsticks and wings. Seriously? Argh.

I kind of dislike the big frozen packages of chicken breasts, so I walked over to the meat guys (butchers?) and asked if they had any in the back. They informed me that they just got the truck in and were working through it, but that the chicken breasts are at the bottom and its going to be several hours before they get to them. Seriously? Argh.

You would think that they'd be trying to get the chicken breasts out as fast as possible, considering that this is a grocery store, and chicken is kind of popular and all. I mean, I would feel safe betting that beef for stew is not going to sell out before the end of the day (and obviously the chicken breasts were ALREADY SOLD OUT).

Whatever.

I have also noticed over the past few days that I'm not doing a very good job of dealing with things that may not go as I have planned. I've been feeling angry, hurt, upset, etc. and I'm not sure why, but I'm going to try and figure it out (soon). ;)

Part of it may be because I have been trying to cut down on the amount of caffeine I drink, but I don't contribute rage issues to that. If anything, consuming more caffeine hops me up and tends to have that effect, not cutting back, but who knows.

***

I wrote a post on my food blog yesterday about a recipe I made for dinner last night. I actually wrote it before we ate it, so I was hoping it would be good. I wrote it during naptime because that is when I did all the prep. I'm happy to report that it was delicious and I don't have to throw the second casserole dish of it out, but I can stick it in the freezer for sometime next month when D is gone at training*.

Oh, that too. D is going to some training next month and I'll be here alone with AJ for a while. Normally this would not bother me, it is par for the course, and all, but with all the anger and frustration I've been experiencing, I'm worried that I'll feel overwhelmed when he's gone. I mean, we'll both be fine; we'll get through it, but hopefully I can find some "me" time before then to decompress.

That's where I run into the real problem, I think. We're trying to be strict about our budget this year. We're trying to save a lot and pay off some debt. I'd rather have the money in savings than spend it on something else. So I guess my question for you is, what do you like to do for yourself to decompress? Do you have any low-cost, inexpensive or free things you suggest?

*I am using the term "training" very loosely. I'm not going to go into what it is he's doing or how long he's going to be gone, but just be comforted in the fact that he is not actually going to "training", but he will be gone for a while.

Back to the Boring...

Now that I've caught you all up on what we did over Christmas and New Year's I'm back to the boring old posts about doing laundry, vacuuming and unloading the dishwasher (ugh). Since D is back at work, I've been mostly hanging out with AJ, who is becoming increasingly independent, which makes a Mama both happy and sad.

Just yesterday I was folding laundry in the guest room (this is a hint to come visit us so I can use the guest room for something other than laundry) when AJ was playing in her playroom across the hall. She decided she wanted to go downstairs and play with her kitchen/watch tv, so I supervised her descent and then got back to my folding. It was at this time that I realized she was completely entertained and didn't need me.

After spending the past 22 months being totally and completely needed by her for every little thing, this was both a huge relief, but also a sad moment for me. I've spent the past year or so frustrated because I can't make dinner with both arms due to a clingy toddler wanting to be held (NO, NOT BY DADDY, ONLY BY MAMA!!) and now we're starting the next phase. You know, the one where she goes to school, sleeps at friends' houses and gets her driver's license. The phase where I'm not always going to be the most important person in her life.

I knew it would come eventually, but I guess I didn't think it would hit me like this. I realize that she is always going to need me for somethings (I still need my Mom and I'm quickly sliding towards 30), but now that we're out of the clingy phase, I want to go back.

Funny how that works, isn't it?

P.S. I posted new recipes on my food blog yesterday and another is going up today, so if you need some new ideas for dinners, go check it out!

Cool Video

Well, I think its safe to say that I'm back to blogging, at least sporadically. Like I said yesterday, I can't promise that I'm back for good, or that I'll blog everyday, but I have found a few things lately that I've felt like blogging about, so I'm going to!

This post will likely be short, but I just wanted to share a really sweet video that my dad emailed me.

I'm not sure if that video works, but if not, then just click on this link:

Don't Judge Me, But....

I'm a judger.

Whenever someone starts a story with this statement I automatically get ready to judge away.  Don't you?  I mean, they obviously know that whatever it is they're about to say is probably going to get them judged, that is why they qualified their statement, right?

But honestly, shouldn't we judge them?

Obviously there are situations in which we know that the actions of the person are out of the norm, and I'm willing to let it slide.  I'm talking about the people who continuously do things that they beg you not to judge them for.

I just tend to think that if you have to ask people not to judge you for something you are choosing to do, then maybe you shouldn't do it in the first place.  Just sayin'.

If you intentionally make a poor decision and choose to tell me about it, I might not admonish you verbally, but you can bet your a$$ I'm silently making my own opinions about you and most likely judging you for it.

And you know what?  I hope that if I do something that is irresponsible or otherwise reflects poorly on me, that you'll judge me too.  I think it keeps us honest and makes people consider their actions ahead of time.  Judging is a good thing, people!

*I'm not thinking of any recent situation in particular, but this thought has just been floating around in my head for a few weeks now and I wanted to share.

Also, I posted a new recipe on my food blog today (the first since July, go ahead, judge away).  Go check it out!

Thoughts Bouncing Around

I don't really have one solid thing to post about right now and I tend to like reading the random posts that people just talk about whatever is on their minds. I'm going to do it!
  • I have been watching an incredible amount of t.v. this week. To the point where I think I need to just stop. Its too bad that I love t.v. and will continue to watch 24/7.
  • I set my DVR to record Most Eligible Dallas and it recorded Millionaire Matchmaker instead. Seriously? That is annoying.
  • I went to the doctor this morning and I was running late. I got there approximately 13 minutes after my scheduled time and they told me I had to reschedule. This wouldn't bug me if I didn't have to wait at LEAST 15 minutes past my scheduled appointment time in the waiting room each and every time I have an appointment there. I even called on the way there to let them know I was running late so they might be able to see someone who was already there. I understand that I was late, but seriously? How freaking rude!
  • This, coupled with some other negative experiences I've had with my PCM (read: this was the first appt available in 2 weeks) is prompting me to seriously consider changing my PCM. I expect to receive poor service and experience long wait times when I'm seen on post, but I chose a civilian provider to avoid this. If I wanted to wait half a month to be seen I'd go to the MTF.
  • Not sure if I ever mentioned the fact that when we moved here this was supposed to be our last move for a long while. Well, notice that I said it WAS SUPPOSED to be. Everything changed over the past two weeks and its looking more and more like we're going to be moving at least once but probably twice in the next two years. Awesome. So glad we bought our dream house here.
  • I'm planning to spend AJ's naptime moving our lawn furniture and other stuff into the garage so it doesn't blow around with all the storms and wind we're expecting tomorrow.
  • I don't know if you heard, but there's a hurricane heading this way. Oh, you heard?
  • I really can't wait for this weekend to be over so I can stop listening to everyone (and I mean everyone) freak out about the storm. Its annoying to me because I'm an anxious person and when others spaz, it makes me freak out inside. I mean, I got all caught up in the hype and went and bought bottled water and got gas yesterday. I'm guessing that the worst we'll see is some strong winds and some rain. That is it. *fingers and toes are crossed*
  • AJ has had a cold all week and I am so ready to have everyone in my house be healthy again. I'm going crazy all cooped up in the house and judging by the weather forecast, I foresee more time inside. Ugh.
  • Even worse than AJ being sick is that hubby has been sick all week as well. Can you guess who has been more needy in illness? You guessed it. ;)
  • I'm praying for all those on the coast who are likely to get hit hard by Irene and I hope you will too.
Hopefully we'll have power the whole weekend and I'll be able to post after the worst of the storm has passed us. If not, I'll get back on here as soon as our power and Internet is up and running again!

Also, sorry this post ended up being super negative. Its where I'm at right now.

Crazy Week!

We have been really busy this week. I was seriously planning on blogging more, but by the time I get home and just barely get the house back in working order, make dinner, clean up the kitchen, and the baby put to bed, I'm beat and all I want to do is lay down and never get up.

Even though we've been busy, we've had fun too!

Here's what we've been up to this week.

Tuesday we went for a nice 3 mile run in the morning and it was seriously nice. We played and just lounged around the house for most of the day.

Wednesday we had playgroup and the run from H-E-Double Hockey Sticks. Once D got home from work, we slammed dinner and he had to leave again to go to the neighborhood HOA meeting. Then he had a test on Thursday, so he had to study all night. I spent the evening relaxing on the couch alone. :(

Thursday AJ and I were invited to a Mommy-Baby brunch at a friend's house. We had lots of fun and there were 8 kiddos there! AJ was one of the oldest ones, which is crazy! My friend's house is about 45 minutes away, so by the time we got in the car to come home I just knew AJ was going to fall asleep in the car. Sure enough, she fell asleep for about 20 minutes on the ride home and when I put her in her crib she didn't want to sleep. She chatted, sang and yelled for the entire time she was in her crib, which ended up being about an hour and a half. She wasn't upset though, so I just left her there to have some quiet time alone.

I tend to think that even if she isn't sleeping its important for us both to have some time alone. I know I like to have a little quiet time without anyone around me, so I can only imagine that she feels the same way. After I got her up we made dinner and then played outside with the neighbors across the street for a while.

By the time she went to bed, she was so tired that her eyes were starting to close when I was reading her a book. This never happens. She usually tries to escape out of my lap and run around the room while I read to her.

Friday we got up early because we had to take AbbyDog to the vet. She had to be dropped off between 7:30 and 8:30 in the morning. She was getting a bath, a mani-pedi and having an exam plus some vaccinations. Expensive day for us, but at least its all done and I didn't have to sit there and wait with her! After dropping her off we hit up Sonic across the street for breakfast. We ate and then went to the grocery store to stock up on meat for a BBQ we're hosting today.

We headed home and put the meat away and had to turn around and head right back out again. I had scheduled a quick meeting with a new babysitter at 10 am so I could meet her before she watches AJ next week for me. We chatted with her for a bit and then we went to Chick Fil A for lunch and playtime with our usual Friday crew.

Almost as soon as I set AJ down to eat she started saying, "PLAY!" so I let her go play. I figured if she was hungry she'd have eaten, so I wasn't too worried about it. She was playing well for a while and then another kid pushed her down. After that she basically lost it. She wasn't hurt or anything, but I think the go-go-go of our week just caught up with her.

I asked her if she wanted to play, eat, or go home and she was having a total meltdown, so we left. I felt bad because I barely even got a chance to talk with the other Mamas. Oh well, I guess that's life when you have a toddler, right?

She was practically falling asleep in the car on the way home, so I was reaching back and pinching her legs and singing funny songs super loud to keep her awake. We made it home and she went to bed right away, with no fuss. I guess girlfriend is tired after her busy week!

D picked AbbyDog up from the vet on his way home from work, so I didn't have to drive back down there again. Yay for a fabulous hubby!

Today we've got a BBQ planned for some of D's work friends and their families. Our neighbors recently got back from Texas and they brought some authentic Texas BBQ dry rub back for us, so we're going to use that on all sorts of meat! It should be yummy and hopefully the weather cooperates for us! Its supposed to be 90 and mostly sunny, so that works for me!

Before the BBQ though, I'm going to see The Help with my book club. I'm so excited to see it. I've heard that its really good and I absolutely loved the book, so I'm bursting with anticipation! I hope its as good as everyone says it is!

I also chatted with my college roomies and got my plane ticket booked for yet another wedding weekend this Fall! I'm going all by myself, so I'm planning to have some fun! Traveling for this wedding means that I'll be going out of town in September, October and November! Lots of fun times to be had this Fall!

So lovies, that is what we've been up to this crazy week! I'm hoping that next week is less intense and a little more relaxing for us!

Finally, Some Randomness....

  • I finally went running this morning. {Cue angels singing}

  • I finally booked hubby's flight for my cousin's wedding in September. {Yay}

  • The check I wrote for the registration for my car was finally cashed. {I hate when places take forever to cash checks.}

  • The lawn finally doesn't look like a jungle anymore. {I mowed yesterday during naptime}

  • Hubby and I sat outside on the patio last night and watched the sun set behind some trees. {It was nice to spend time together}

  • I'm starting to get excited for the marathon and spending some time with my family. {But first I'll see them at my cousin's wedding next month}

  • I'm trying to decided if we should try to make the trip to Hometown, USA for Thanksgiving. {We already decided that we're not traveling for Christmas}

  • AJ has pretty much boycotted all food other than ketchup. {This makes for messy and less-than-nutritious meals}

  • I've forgotten how tired running in the morning makes me. {I feel like I need a nap by noon}

  • I'm finally starting to feel like Summer is coming to an end. {Thank God}

  • I'll never be caught up on Laundry. {Who will?}

  • We rearranged our bedroom furniture and love the new look. {Pictures to come soon}

  • AJ just woke up from her nap, so I'm signing off. {I'll be back soon with a real post}

One of Those Days....

Do you ever have one of those days? No, I'm not talking about an awful day where you just want to crawl back in bed with a cocktail and a carton big bowl of ice cream. I'm referring to the days where you look at the date and can immediately remember that a girl you barely knew in high school is celebrating a birthday!

Does anyone else do this?

I'm not talking about your long, lost high school bestie or anything either. I'm being serious when I say its a girl you barely knew. Maybe its your BFF from first grade who you haven't spoken to in 20 years.

That happened to me the other day.

I always wonder if people randomly think of me on my birthday. People I haven't had contact with or thought about in decades. It doesn't have to be an obssessive thought, but just a quick, "Oh! Its Joe Schmoe's birthday today, I hope he's having a good day! I wonder what his life is like now."

There are certainly days that are more poignant that others, like the birthdays of once close friends, etc. The days I'm talking about are the ones that you shouldn't be able to remember, but for some reason, it sticks in your mind, subconsciously.

Does this ever happen to you?

Couple Things....

First up: WTF is up with Twitter? Is anyone else having trouble loading the homepage? For some reason every time I try to go there, it just gives me the little circle of death. You know, the progress circle that spins until the page loads? GRRR so annoying! Luckily I can access it on my phone, but its just not the same.

Secondly, who the hell am I and what did I do with my old, lazy self? Seriously, I woke up this morning and instead of sitting on my @$$ and reading blogs, checking FB, Twitter (on my phone, obvs) and drinking several cups of coffee, I vacuumed the entire downstairs, unloaded the dishwasher, watered some plants, and did some crunches. Then after AJ woke up and had breakfast I started a load of laundry and we embarked on {my} day 1 of the Couch 2 5k program (I'm starting on Week 4, day 2 because I'm somewhat in shape and only have 5 weeks until I start officially training for a FULL marathon).

In case you skimmed that last part, yes, I am planning on running a FULL marathon in November. That would be 26.2 miles. Yep, I'm crazy, but if you've been around here for more than one day, you'd already know that!

Here's the reasoning though. D wants to run a marathon. We have found one that isn't too far from where we live and the race also offers a half marathon on the same day. D has been trying to convince me to run it with him and I was thinking about doing another half. Then this weekend we were chatting with my parents and I decided that since I've already run 2 half marathons in the past, I'm either going to run the full or not do it at all (makes perfect sense, right? Ha!).

So there you have it folks, I'm officially bat$h!t crazy. Welcome to the dark side!

We're picking up our farm box again today and it might just be the highlight of my week! At our pick-up site there are a ton of little old ladies that hand out the boxes and I love making their days just by letting them pinch and squeeze AJ!

Happy Thursday everyone!

Laundry, Vacuuming and Poison Ivy?

I don't have much to say today based on the fact that I spent my day doing super fun things like eleventeen loads of laundry and vacuuming out my car (yep, it was one of those days).

The other tidbit of excitement here in my life is that I somehow managed to contract poison ivy without ever touching the plant itself. I'm a total winner, here, folks! I'm very, very, very allergic to poison ivy so my doctor said that its possible someone else came into contact with the plant and then the spores jumped from them onto me they touched something that I came into contact with later.

My mom said that its possible that I got it when our neighbors were doing some burning over the weekend. The spores apparently can be carried by smoke and still can cause the rash in severe allergic reactions.

So anyway, regardless of how I contracted the super-gorgeous rash, I'm being treated with a bevy of medications and since I started this regime, I've already noticed a marked improvement!

Other than the case of the mysterious poison ivy, we're just trying to catch up from having tons of family in town the past two weekends. I should be totally caught up about the time AJ and I leave to go to Hometown, USA in two weeks! Isn't that just how it goes?

What Do You Want To Know?

I've seen other bloggers do this from time to time, so I think I'll try it out!

Is there anything you'd like to know about me? I think I tend to blog about the same things, time and time again, so I'm going to do a little Q & A post so you guys can get to know me a little bit better. Submit your questions, either as a comment or you can email me at beth.thisamericanwife@gmail.com, and I'll answer them all for you!

A Few Randoms....

I don't have anything to write a whole post about, so you're going to get a little random list of things that are on my mind. Enjoy!

  • Each time I think that AJ has settled into a sleep routine she mixes things up and wakes up a whole bunch during the night. I don't get it! I haven't done anything differently in her bedtime routine, so what gives baby?
  • I have a few trips planned in the next month and I feel like they've been on the books forever, but they're finally in sight! The first is to my college town to reunite with my six (6!) roommates from college and the second is to San Antonio for the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon. I'm super excited about both!
  • I'm super scatterbrained and just realized that we never got our security deposit back from our townhouse in Washington. I emailed our landlord yesterday and they didn't have our forwarding address, so the check got mailed out yesterday! (Um, hello Beth, that's quite a bit of money that you forgot about....Mommy brain, anyone?)
  • The dog is currently laying on the ottoman and just started sliding off...Hilarious.
  • Christmas is just around the corner, which means that Thanksgiving is even closer. Both of these facts mean that we're super close to rejoining civilization, moving, and spending time in Florida! Can't wait!
  • We're officially cloth diapering full time and its going pretty well. We've had a few leaky diapers (mostly in the morning when she sleeps the whole night) and I'm still getting used to using the diaper sprayer without drenching my whole bathroom, but we're getting there. I'm happy with the way things have been going so far. Its almost at the point when it doesn't feel any different from using disposables now.
  • Running has been going well this week. One of my IRL friends (oh how well she knows me) suggested on here that I just let it go, not feel guilty about it and start fresh this week. Well, I've run 9+ miles already this week, today is my rest day and I have cross training tomorrow and a long run Saturday. Excited to bust my butt the next month and be ready for the race!
Anyways, that is where I'm at right now. Hopefully you enjoyed this little random glimpse into what my life is looking like right now. AJ just woke up from her nap, so I'm off to get her!
