I'm a twenty-nine year old Army wife currently living near a large Army post. I have an unhealthy obsession with Dr. Pepper, the Internet, cloth diapers, and ridiculous TV shows. I'm a stay at home mom to two beautiful daughters, AJ and Amelia. We also have a 6 year old beagle named Abby who is as dumb as a box of rocks.

Halloween Ideas

I realized that I've kind of been getting ahead of myself lately with all this talk about Thanksgiving and Christmas and should probably figure out what I'm going to dress AJ as for Halloween!

Before we begin, I should let you know that I am that mom that dressed our dog, Abby, up for Halloween each year. This will continue. Last year she was a lady bug and I think she's going as a cow this year, which is fitting for a number of reasons. The first being that she has gained the FLW 5, which is what we here at FLW call the (at least) 5 lbs that everyone gains when they move here. Second reason is because I bought the costume last year and (yes, I bought our dog 2 costumes last year so we could choose) thus, I don't have to buy her a new one this year!

Now we just need to figure out what the rest of us are going to dress up as. D and I are going to a Halloween party on the 29th, so we need costumes that will also be usable on Sunday the 31st. I also think that we're planning to take AJ around to a few houses for Trick or Treating, so obviously she needs the cutest costume ever.

I'm not limited to ordering a costume, but I can also make something (somewhat) simple. I know how to use a sewing machine, etc., so I'm not limited to glue gun costumes. lol.

Anyone have any ideas or cute costumes they've seen babies wear in the past?

  1. I've gained the FLW 20! Little Butt has been Tinker Bell, a lady bug and a witch. This year she chose Cinderella. Good luck on finding a costume!

  3. That's so funny that even Abby was affected with the FLW 5!! I think a cow costume on a dog will look super cute. As for AJ, I think unusual animal costumes are soo cute for babies. I've seen a frog, a snail, and a lobster and (SURPRISINGLY) they are precious!!!Good Luck!

  4. I can't wait to see what you decide!! I love that Levi and AJ are so close in age:) We were going to dress him up as a little frankenstein {which would not have been my first choice, as I don't usually like "freaky" costumes} because his little square head would have looked so cute with fankie face paint:) I couldn't find any cute baby frankie costumes though, so I think that's out!
