My photo
I'm a twenty-nine year old Army wife currently living near a large Army post. I have an unhealthy obsession with Dr. Pepper, the Internet, cloth diapers, and ridiculous TV shows. I'm a stay at home mom to two beautiful daughters, AJ and Amelia. We also have a 6 year old beagle named Abby who is as dumb as a box of rocks.

The Sweetest....

Lately I've been posting lots of recipes and basically have been neglecting other aspects of my life. Namely a very important aspect named AJ!

For those of you who are wondering how the little miss is doing, she is a crazy lady! Literally, sometimes she will sit there, look me in the eye and just yell! Its hilarious. She has also started saying "ba ba" and waving at us. I think she's saying bye bye! She also says "da da," "ma ma," and "pup pup," which is what we call Abbydog.

To top all of that off, she has started standing on her own and she is.....drumroll please.....WALKING!

As is her tradition, she waited until we were at my parent's house (where she had an audience) to take her first steps unassisted. She did that a few more times before she actually convinced herself that she can do it and she is up to about 5-10 steps at a time before she plops down on her butt. Sometimes she will walk across the room to get something, stoop down, pick it up and head in another direction entirely!

The best part about her walking is that she still kind of looks like a zombie while she walks. I'm not being mean, but literally her arms are straight out in front of her and her legs stay straight. We crack up all the time!

While she provides us lots of entertainment, I'm not totally sure that I'm ready for her to be walking on her own! I can't believe that she is already so big! Where has the time gone? I mean, seriously, we bought her new carseat this weekend as well.

On a not so positive note, she has also started to throw little mini-tantrums when we won't let her do things she wants to do. When the word "no" is used be prepared to hold your ground because she is gonna be pissed! I have a feeling that we will have our hands full over the next 17 years or so.

Anyways, that is the AJ update! Sorry I've been slacking on the cute baby front lately!

If you can even see her head in this picture, you will notice that we were finally able to sneak a bow into her hair without her noticing!

Standing next to Daddy, watching football.

She loves that my iPhone takes pictures while she's looking at herself.

Oh, just walking around the family room. No big deal, Mom.

Eating lunch in her snow suit the day we moved into the house. We had the doors open for the movers and it was about 50* in the house!

Another self-portrait!

Out for a chilly walk with Daddy!

Trying to be the photographer!

  3. Yay it's so exciting that she's walking. She's such a cutie.

I really really hated that temper tantrum stage when Alister went through it. I hope it passes quickly for you :)
