My photo
I'm a twenty-nine year old Army wife currently living near a large Army post. I have an unhealthy obsession with Dr. Pepper, the Internet, cloth diapers, and ridiculous TV shows. I'm a stay at home mom to two beautiful daughters, AJ and Amelia. We also have a 6 year old beagle named Abby who is as dumb as a box of rocks.

Steve Urkel and Elvis Presley

Recently AJ has been wearing some of the new clothes she has gotten as gifts. In most of them she tends to look like Steve Urkel. The reason for this: She is quite tall and none of her Newborn sized onesies are long enough for her. However, she is fairly skinny, so while all her 3m clothes are the right length, they're all pretty baggy on her. The pants, on the other hand, are not only long, but baggy as well. We end up pulling her pants up to her armpits like you see in the photo above.

In my never-ending quest to capture the elusive smile, I managed to snap a picture of a little-known Elvis Presley impersonator! This one was taken on Saturday afternoon while Daddy was out doing gun-related things with his friends, so I sent it to him via text message. It was much appreciated!

Trying to Capture the Smile!

Whenever AJ smiles I try so hard to get it on camera, but somehow, everytime I have the camera out and am ready she smiles and it vanishes as soon as the camera clicks! These are two of the best ones I could get this week so far. Such a pretty girl!
I especially love the double chin in this one!

Time Flies!

So they say, time flies when you're having fun! Well, I tend to agree, but I also think that time flies when you're too exhausted to know what day of the week it is! I can't believe that AJ will be 4 weeks old tomorrow! It seems like just yesterday that we were heading to the hospital to have her and now she is starting to smile on occasion and is getting so much better at holding her head up for longer periods of time! Crazy! Here are new pictures to enjoy!

More Pictures of Our Baby Girl!

I haven't been super good about posting on here since the baby was born (okay, I wasn't great at posting before she was born either) so I figured that we have tons of pictures of AJ, so I want to get them up here for all to see!

Sleeping on my legs...love the double chin!

Happy Birthday Daddios!

Today is my Dad's birthday, so I want to take a second to wish Dad a very happy 52nd birthday!!

And yesterday was my FIL's birthday, so I want to take another second to wish FIL a very happy 54th birthday!!

Last Minute Errands....

So now that we're on the official countdown, I've decided that I should probably do all the last minute things that need to get done before Baby G arrives! I should clarify, by "last minute things" I mean all the things that should have already been done but have been put off to the last minute! This includes, but is not limited to:
  • Installing the carseat in the car.
  • Packing my hospital bag.
  • One last grocery/Costco trip.
  • Cleaning the house.
  • Mani/Pedi so my toes look nice (they're BEE-scusting right now).
  • Taking the tags off of and washing all the baby clothes.
Doesn't seem that bad when I look at it, but I know that as I start those things I will be able to add about 100 more things to my list! I kind of need to get this stuff done this weekend because Monday I have to take Pup Pup to the kennel and go to the hospital for my pre-op appointment. The only problem with this "pre-op appointment" is that its not an appointment, so it could take anywhere from 1-approximately 4 hours or so, depending on how busy they are up in Labor and Delivery.

On Tuesday we'll finally get to meet our baby girl and see what this face actually looks like!
