I got a small a...My entire downstairs is like that. I got a small area rug for the area by the sofa. It helped soften some of those blows and by the time she was big enough to crawl off the carpet very far, she had enough control over her head to keep herself upright... for the most part, haha. I think those mats are great anyways.
